Bob and Zane, I wanted to say you both provided a concise presentation concering Matt 22. I particulary liked Zanes point made, that the wedding garments traditionally were never provided by the host. In this case it would be the 'King'.

So if one were to use this parable as an image of eternal rejection they would have no case in that sense.

The fact is this man did receive the invitation of the King. But suppose the King did provide the garments at the door, why is he questioning the man? Was it not his responsibility to make sure every one of his guests were in proper attire upon entering the banquet.

So Zane's point is compelling!

Keep up the good work!
